Traffic Dashboard

Traffic Dashboard Review - Can This Marlon Sanders' Product Deliver Traffic?
Copyright © Titus Hoskins

I didn't just like Traffic Dashboard - I loved it! But that's beside the point, the real question which has to be asked, can this latest Dashboard product from Marlon Sanders deliver traffic to your site?

Now, if you're not familiar with Marlon Sanders' Dashboard products, perhaps a little explanation is needed. Marlon Sanders is a veteran Internet Marketer who has a proven track record with such popular marketing products such as The Amazing Formula and Push Button Letters. Marlon's Dashboard series of products takes a common marketing problem and offers a Dashboard solution - a point and click system which gives you the needed information in a straightforward no nonsense format.

I would also like to state up-front, that I am a full-time affiliate marketer, with several sites on Internet Marketing Tools. I have promoted and sold Marlon's products for years simply because they are the best out there. So I am somewhat bias, but for those who know me, that doesn't stop me from objectively examining a product and putting in my two cents worth. Just saying!

Traffic Dashboard is basically an online site which you're given access to, once you buy the product. This Dashboard has 6 main modules which are further sub-divided into 6 units.

The 6 main subject areas are: Article Marketing -

Search Engine Optimization -

Social Media Marketing -

Banner Ad Marketing -

Email Drops -

Affiliate Marketing -

Now, I didn't agree with all of Marlon's conclusions or even with some of the tactics presented here, especially when it comes to two of the main sections dealing with Article Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. What differentiates Traffic Dashboard from most other info marketing products is the sheer volume of practical tips and advice one can use to get traffic. There's no fluff, just straightforward tactics which one can use to get the job done.

Marlon also calls upon some noted experts in the different areas of marketing online. These experts supply proven techniques or tactics which have worked for them in their marketing. It is this focus on "facts and statistics" rather than "opinions" which makes Traffic Dashboard a valuable product to have in your corner.

The first module concerns article marketing and the majority of the information here is very solid. Obviously, much of this section deals with Ezinearticles which is the premier article directory on the web. Most of the points presented here I agree with - keep in mind, I am a platinum writer with Ezinearticles and have been a member since 2004. I have over 350 articles on that site which have received over 636,000 views.

But while article marketing is still one of the most effective ways to produce targeted traffic to your site, and Ezinearticles is still the top place to submit your articles. However, competition within Ezinearticles and with article marketing in general have greatly increased, for example when I joined I was author # 1561, now there are over 377,000 authors. Your articles can still rank high in Google, but I find because Ezinearticles is daily flooded with fresh articles, your articles get picked up less and less by other sites, especially compared to years ago when there was less competition.

Another area where I part ways from the information given here is the whole notion of article spinning. While Marlon and his experts are right, taking an article and spinning it into different unique versions is a great way to get higher rankings and more traffic, but I believe this practice is what has diluted even great content to the point of ad nauseum and one of the issues tackled in Google's latest Panda Update. In other words, for SEO and for getting traffic, article spinning is extremely effective, if you can stomach the moral issue; for me it is too much like cheating and besides a spun article never seems right to me.

However, don't get the wrong impression, for any marketer (beginner or seasoned) one of the fastes ways to get traffic or rankings is to submit your article to these online article directories, especially Ezinearticles. Perhaps the only faster way is a press release but this is more of a temporary measure except for the SEO benefits. All of this is covered in the Dashboard with actual walk-thrus of where and how to submit a press release. The same is done for article marketing.

Sanders' SEO section is also very solid and goes through all the elements you have to have in place in order to get those top rankings. Marlon gives you a handy chart which shows the ranking factors the search engines use to determine how content is ranked. I personally would place more emphasis on one-way anchor text links from authority sites, but this is a minor difference.

Marlon also shows you the right "on-page factors" which are still important, especially in very close keyword battles. Only thing here which I didn't agree with was this statement - Don't use your product name as the page title - not sure what Marlon meant here or if I have read this right? Believe he meant the opposite since one of the best ways to increase your rankings and sales is to INCLUDE the brand name in the title and URL.

One of the best sections in this module is entitled "How to Go From 0 to 100 visitors a day then up to 1,000 a day In 6 Months" - which shows you exactly what to do to get those numbers. For me, this is the heart of the product, getting traffic is your goal and Dashboard Traffic shows you how to get it - plain and simple. But this is only one section, there are other sections/ways which are just as effective, such as Youtube videos, Squidoo Lenses, Email Marketing, Joint Ventures... and so on.

The Youtube section is another one which rang very true to me since I have seen the importance of video marketing first-hand. Never underestimate how effective it is for building not only traffic but a community of like-minded individuals. It is also very effective for building your brand/site recognition.

Regardless of the topic, Dashboard Traffic gives you practical step-by-step tactics you have to follow to get the traffic. Marlon encourages us to forget the nag-sayers and just do the things you need to do to get the traffic. It's this "can do" attitude which flows through the whole product and which I found very refreshing.

One section called the "Epiphany" really struck home for me. Sanders forbids anyone from revealing just what this break-thru was, but safe to say the outcome of this conflict will largely determine both the nature and the future of the web. It will also largely determine the source of your future web traffic, which is the discussion at hand here.

Surprizingly, there's an emotional heart to Traffic Dashboard which you don't find in similar products. And I have examined quite a few - from John Reeve's massive Traffic Secrets 2.0 to Tinu Abayomi-Paul's excellent Evergreen Traffic. But for me, Traffic Dashboard, not only delivers the goods (how to get traffic to your site) but also had that extra something to get you going. That extra "push" or "motivation" to get you started. And that as they say can make all the difference in the world.
