MSI Releases New Inexspensive Gaming Laptop - MSI GT725

The MSI GT725 is one gaming laptop that won't break the bank or your bank account. Especially when you consider most of these high-end gaming rigs can set you back a 3 or 4 Grand.

However, this MSI GT725 17-inch laptop has many great features which make it adequate for gaming with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.4 GHz, FSB1066, 3 MB cache) with 4 GB of DDR2 memory, and sporting a 320 GB 7200 RPM hard drive. These specs are combined with ATI's mobile 4850, which sports its own 512 MB of DDR3 memory, should be enough firepower to handle most of the latest games. Price for this GT275 is around $1300.

Then you have to consider for around $1600 you can bump those specs up to a P9500 with 2.53 GHz, FSB1066, 6 MB cache and upgrade the 1680x1050 LCD screen to a 1920x1200 display plus you get a Blu-ray ROM drive. You also have true 5.1 surround sound, with a dedicated subwoofer. All this comes in a neat 7.35 pound package.

One of the special feature, MSI has added Turbo Drive, which can overclock the CPU another 15% with the click of a switch. This feature alone should make some of the most serious gamers out there take a second look at this gaming laptop from MSI.
