Toshiba has a long history of producing some powerful multi-media gaming laptops which can hold their own when compared with the offerings from Alienware and Sager. And usually at a cheaper price, especially with the popular Qosmio x505 series of gaming notebooks.

Now comes the Qosmio X770, which will have some very impressive high-end specs which will give the new Alienware M18x some competition. The X707 will have the new Intel Quad Core i7-2630QM (6M Cache, 2.00 GHz) Sandy Bridge processor.

It will have full HD 17.3-inch display (1920 x 1080 resolution) and gamers can also opt for the 3D version which will come with a 3D capable webcam and 3D shutter glasses.

The X707 will have 8GB of RAM and two hard drives with 1.25TB of storage. It will also sport the high-end NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics card which will have DirectX 11 and offer 3 times the performance.

The starting price for the Toshiba Qosmio X770 will be $1,850 but gamers will have to pay more for the 3D features.
