Origin Releases the EON18 Custom Gaming Laptop
Compiled and Written by Titus Hoskins
When Dell bought out Alienware a few years back, many true blood gamers screamed "Bloody Murder". Not that Dell has done a bad job of marketing Alienware, it is still the premium brand for gaming.
But owning a Dell doesn't quite have the same "street cred" as owning a fully custom fitted gaming rig that blows away the competition. Nature of the beast.
The former owners of Alienware probably knew that fact and have now supplied their own solution: ORIGIN Custom Gaming PCs and Laptops. Their first offering is monster of a machine called the EON18, that can take on any takers.
It features the latest mobile Intel® CoreTM i7 Extreme CPU and dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 285M GPU’s via SLI Technology. Throw in 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1333MHz and a full HD (1920 x 1080) 18.4 inch widescreen LCD display - you have all the components for an excellent gaming laptop that can do 90 frames per second.
Of course, the only drawback, all this gaming power comes at a hefty price tag. The EON18 starts at $2,299 but gamers know you will have to much higher to get the full goods. Probably, in the 5k or 6k range, if you want the highest specs.
Kevin Wasielewski, CEO/Co-Founder of ORIGIN PC, probably knows there are plenty of buyers who are more than willing to pay the bucks for all that ultimate power and performance. They did it for Alienware and they will do for ORIGIN.
Gamers like owning and playing the ultimate gaming machine, regardless of price.
