One of the most important factors in how high your site
\nranks in the search engines are backlinks from other theme
\nrelated web sites and blogs. While other SEO factors do matter
\nand should not be ignored – it’s the number of quality-related
\nbacklinks your page has that will largely determine how high
\nit is ranked.<\/p>\n

Over the years I have examined countless ways to build
\nthese quality backlinks, but one of the best ways is also
\none of the simplest to do.<\/p>\n

The trick is to get quality links directly related to the
\nkeywords of your site or page. You need links from other
\nhighly ranked pages for your targeted keywords. If your
\nsite is on “golf clubs” then you need links from sites
\nthat carry or talk about golf clubs and golf equipment.<\/p>\n

Now, one way to get links besides typing your keywords
\ninto a search such as Google and then contacting the
\nhigh ranked sites which pop up – you can do that too
\nbut I like doing it another way.<\/p>\n

And it’s just as simple, I simply create Google Alerts
\nfor my targeted keyword phrases and every time a new
\nsite page or blog post is created and INDEXED by Google
\n– Google sends me an email.<\/p>\n

I then check out these new pages to see if I can get a
\nlink. Many of these new pages will be on blogs so you
\ncan easily leave a comment with your link. Now again,
\nsite owners are not stupid, you must add valuable content
\nor information in your comments or they will just get
\ndeleted.<\/p>\n

Most times, if you join in the discussion and add your
\ntwo cents… most site owners will accept your links.
\nBut it has to be true interaction with what’s being
\ndiscussed on the page.<\/p>\n

It is this interaction and socializing that’s important
\nbecause the search engines are moving in the same
\ndirection as the general surfing public – towards
\nthe social networks.<\/p>\n

As you probably have heard already, Facebook for the
\nfirst time is ranked higher than Google and took the
\ntop spot. These social networks are where the traffic
\nis and fortunately, they are also a great way to build
\nyour links.<\/p>\n

Commenting is an important part of these social sites
\nand you have to get your site into the mix. You have
\nto join in on the discussion.<\/p>\n

One of the best ways is to create keyword alerts here:<\/p>\n

\nand when Google emails links related to your site’s keywords
\n– check out some of the links and see if you can get a
\nfew backlinks. Do this for a period of time and you will
\nget those all important theme related quality backlinks.
\nBesides doing this is also a good way of getting quality
\ntraffic back to your site.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
