\nWe’re going back to the basics of search engine optimization in this
\nweek’s newsletter. Mainly optimization in Google but many of the same
\ntactics apply to the other search engines as well.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Lately, Google has been giving out tons of information on how to
\noptimize your site for its search engine. Actually, Google has been
\ndoing this for a long time with its “Google Webmaster Tools” section
\nwhere you can find very helpful information on creating your site.<\/p>\n

Also, Google has provided plenty of helpful tips and info through one
\nof their most widely known spokespersons: Matt Cutts. If you’re
\nreally want to get a “leg-up” on Google you should follow his
\nblog and\/or follow him on his Twitter account. Just Google to
\nfind them!<\/p>\n

Of course, for obvious reasons, Google will never give you the
\n“full monty” on just how they rank their index and your site, but
\nI have found following the general advice given by Google and Matt
\nCutts is very helpful and can improve your rankings, especially
\nif you’re making some big mistake that you don’t know about.<\/p>\n

What I found good about this simple guide, it gives you links so
\nthat you can further investigate and learn more about tricky issues
\nshould as Duplicate Content and other issues that many webmasters
\nfind hard to understand.<\/p>\n

Of course, you should also be checking out Google Webmaster Tools
\nwhich is very comprehensive and detailed. Actually, if you’re really
\nnew at this webmaster stuff, I would suggest you try these sites which
\nfurther explains how to use Google’s Webmaster Tools
