\nBig Penguin Update Coming – Says Google’s Matt Cutts<\/b>

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While we are all anxiously waiting for Google to refresh
\nthe Penguin data (especially those of us who have been
\nactively fixing our link profiles and removing poor quality
\nlinks) but it seems we will have to wait a little longer for
\nthat refresh. However, it was announced by Google’s Matt Cutts
\nat the recent SES SearchEngine Conferences in San Francisco
\nthat a major Penguin Update is coming and the impact could
\nbe great.<\/p>\n

This update will supposedly incorporate new signals and
\ncreate a greater impact on search results.<\/p>\n

Here’s some of what Cutts said:<\/p>\n

“Likewise, we’re still in the early stages of Penguin where the
\nengineers are incorporating new signals and iterating to improve
\nthe algorithm. Because of that, expect that the next few Penguin
\nupdates will take longer, incorporate additional signals, and as
\na result will have more noticeable impact. It’s not the case that
\npeople should just expect data refreshes for Penguin quite yet.”<\/b><\/p>\n

So all these changes are coming soon and webmasters can only
\nhope it doesn’t affect their sites or content. The last Penguin
\nrefresh was on May 25\/26 – so another one is probably on the horizon.
\nMany are speculating Google may be holding off on a refresh until
\nafter they release their Disavow Link Tool to give webmasters some
\nreal power to fix their links.<\/p>\n
