Keyword SEO Backlinks Checker

If you’re a regular reader, you will know, lately, I have been
talking about “backlinks” and how important they are
to getting higher rankings, especially in Google. But sometimes
it is extremely helpful to know how many backlinks your competition
has for a certain keyword.

Keep in mind, it is not always “how many” backlinks a site/page
has for a certain keyword, but the quality of those backlinks.

If you want to beat your keyword competition you simply have to
get more backlinks then they have. Of course, on-page optimization
and quality content does count towards your rankings, but it’s
the number and quality of those backlinks which is the deciding
factor.

Anyway, here’s a free SEO tool at this site which will let
you type in your keyword and they will tell you the top
ranked sites and how many backlinks each site has.

So check out your favorite keywords here:

Google Keyword Research Tool

If you have a website you will already know how important
Keywords are for getting traffic to your site. Keywords are
those all-important words web surfers use to find your site.

Now Google provides a lot of help with keywords with some
great tools and information, which are mainly geared to helping
their Adwords customers but anyone can use these tools. You
simply type in your site and a keyword – then Google will
gives you a list of keywords related to your site compared
to what people are searching for on the web using Google’s
search engine.

They will give you the number of searches made each month
and what Adwords users have to pay if they want to buy traffic
from Google. It also gives you the amount of competition
for each keyword.

This tool can be helpful in finding new keywords for your
site even if you’re not doing Adwords. It can also help you
find keywords you never thought of using.

You should give it a try:

Marketing Tip:

While you’re researching your site’s keywords, keep in mind,
long-tail keyword phrases are those longer phrases which have
fewer searches each month but they are much easier to get on
the first page of Google since there is little competition.

My favorite marketing technique is to study my traffic logs and
pick out these phrases which are showing up in Google – if any
phrases bring in sales or sign-ups, I then place these keyword
phrases into article titles and in the anchor text of the resource
box links where I link to the interior page on my site which has
this same phrase in it, so that I can boost my rankings up to the
number #1 spot in Google for those phrases. Simple but effective
long-tail keyword marketing.

Advanced Tip: If you want those all-important traffic pulling
“Double Listings” for a keyword phrase in Google. Link to both
your homepage and your interior page using the same phrase in
your article resource boxes.

Simple Way To Build Backlinks Via Google Alerts

Simple Way To Build Backlinks Via Google Alerts

One of the most important factors in how high your site
ranks in the search engines are backlinks from other theme
related web sites and blogs. While other SEO factors do matter
and should not be ignored – it’s the number of quality-related
backlinks your page has that will largely determine how high
it is ranked.

Over the years I have examined countless ways to build
these quality backlinks, but one of the best ways is also
one of the simplest to do.

The trick is to get quality links directly related to the
keywords of your site or page. You need links from other
highly ranked pages for your targeted keywords. If your
site is on “golf clubs” then you need links from sites
that carry or talk about golf clubs and golf equipment.

Now, one way to get links besides typing your keywords
into a search such as Google and then contacting the
high ranked sites which pop up – you can do that too
but I like doing it another way.

And it’s just as simple, I simply create Google Alerts
for my targeted keyword phrases and every time a new
site page or blog post is created and INDEXED by Google
– Google sends me an email.

I then check out these new pages to see if I can get a
link. Many of these new pages will be on blogs so you
can easily leave a comment with your link. Now again,
site owners are not stupid, you must add valuable content
or information in your comments or they will just get
deleted.

Most times, if you join in the discussion and add your
two cents… most site owners will accept your links.
But it has to be true interaction with what’s being
discussed on the page.

It is this interaction and socializing that’s important
because the search engines are moving in the same
direction as the general surfing public – towards
the social networks.

As you probably have heard already, Facebook for the
first time is ranked higher than Google and took the
top spot. These social networks are where the traffic
is and fortunately, they are also a great way to build
your links.

Commenting is an important part of these social sites
and you have to get your site into the mix. You have
to join in on the discussion.

One of the best ways is to create keyword alerts here:

Google Alerts

and when Google emails links related to your site’s keywords
– check out some of the links and see if you can get a
few backlinks. Do this for a period of time and you will
get those all important theme related quality backlinks.
Besides doing this is also a good way of getting quality
traffic back to your site.
