ClickBank Residual Income

If you have been a regular reader of this small newsletter you will
probably know what I have been telling my subscribers for years:
one of the main keys to succeeding on the web is obtaining
recurring or residual income.

I have made this my main goal because you can make one sale and get
paid for months, years into the future.

Not everything works, you have to find the products or services
that will be long-lasting. That is, once a customer signs up,
they will keep paying and paying for years.

Now, I have found the trick is to not only pick quality products
and services to recommend – but also to find those products/services
which people keep for a long time. This is not hard, just ask
yourself – which services have you kept and have been paying
each month for years on end?

Telephone services? Cable bill? Web hosting? Gym Membership?
Internet Access?

Some services we keep for the long term – those are the ones
that offer the best recurring residual income. As for my self, since
I have several marketing sites… web hosting, autoresponder services,
SEO services, cloud computing services and so on – work the best.

These ones have done very well for me. Make one sale and get a
recurring payment for the life of that customer you referred.
Of course, there are other programs and products which offer
recurring income such as membership sites.

And now ClickBank offers recurring products or programs on which
you can earn residual income. Now I am not a ClickBank expert,
I have been earning income from ClickBank products for over 6
or 7 years but it is not one of my major affiliate networks.

Of course, that doesn’t stop me from finding experts on
ClickBank – one of my favorites is Harvey Segal.

Now Harvey Segal is acknowledged as the world’s top ClickBank
expert – he runs a ClickBank forum and has written several
affiliate marketing books on it. Such as “ClickBank Vendor SuperTips”
& “ClickBank Affiliate SuperTips”

He has just written one entitled “ClickBank Residual Income”
which you can download for free:

Actually, if you download the ClickBank Residual Income
PDF book… you will find a link to the other 2 free ClickBank
books, plus other helpful links.

If you’re interested in this subject of residual income,

My Top Internet Marketing Tactics For 2009

BWMagic’s Internet Marketing News

My Top Internet Marketing Tactics For 2009

As I close out my 10th year of marketing online, I thought
it would prove helpful if I listed my most effective online
marketing techniques or tactics for last year. Most of
these marketing techniques you may or may not know
them… but they have worked for me and there’s no reason
why they can’t work for you.

1. Going for the Double Whammy

I discovered long ago that it is much, much, much
easier to get TWO sites in the top five in Google
then it is to get one site in those top listings.
That is: instead of just getting one site listed,
try to get two of your closely related sites ranked
for the same keyword phrase.

Both sites will compliment each other and raise each
other’s rankings in Google. It takes more time to
build and promote two sites, but the rewards are well
worth it.

Marketing Tools

If you find building two sites is too daunting a task
for you – try using two different pages on your site
to rank for the same keyword phrase, that way you can
get that all important double listing for your phrase
in Google. Some marketers are extremely ambitious and get
two pages listed for each of their sites – thus having 4
or more listings in the top spots.

Marketing Tools

And as a marketing strategy from the very beginning
I picked the Internet marketing field, mainly because
I would be competing against the top sites and marketers
who knew exactly how to market online. This stiff
competition keeps me on my toes and in the game.

2. Get Triple or More Listings For The Same Keyword

Along those same lines, for a very profitable keyword
phrase I try to get at least three listings on the
first page. This is not hard to do for low-to-medium
competitive keywords, a little harder for really
competitive keywords.

Besides building multiple sites, I leverage the high
ranking power of such sites as Ezinearticles, Buzzle,
PromotionWorld, SiteProNews… to get my articles/content
listed on the first page of Google. I know this is an
indirect route or listing but traffic coming from those
sites and my articles are of the highest quality and
converts very well.

They have traveled thru my marketing funnels:

Google – Ezinearticles – My Content – My Site

Similarly, getting Blog, News and Video listings for your
keywords on Google’s first page will enable you to capture
more of given daily traffic to your keyword phrases.

3. The Simple SEO Power of the Press Release

One of my newest and one of my most effective marketing
strategies this year has been the simple Press Release.
I use PRWEB, which can be expensive since I like to
add videos to my releases and I always get the highest price
package. I also bid up my Release so that it is the top listing
on the PRWEB homepage for that day.

(Major Marketing Tip: Might seem obvious but getting that
top spot in any listing, whether it be Google, PRWEB or any
list simply means you get most of the attention and traffic.
Always aim for that top spot!)

This makes my News Releases more effective and they get
picked up and are placed on more sites. Again, bit costly
but the SEO benefits are worth it because you can place anchor
text links in your releases… these releases and links get
picked up by closely related sites.

But News Releases don’t have to be costly, you can use
free News Release services on the web – just google to
find these top free sites. I also like using the free Press
Release services offered through Idealmarketers and Ezinearticles.

4. Article Marketing

Yes, I know this is an old marketing technique but it is
still my most effective tactic I use on the web. Just write
simple helpful “How-To” articles on the subject of your
site. Place these all over the web by using the free article
directory sites.

Use your main keyword phrase in the title of the article
and in the resource box at the end of each article. Also,
include the main benefit for the reader in this link back to your
site. Place your targeted keywords in the anchor text (clickable part)
of the link. Use variations of your keyword phrase so you won’t
be keyword spamming.

5. Social Bookmarking Sites

Since they are growing in importance on the web, I have
started using social media sites such as FaceBook,
MySpace, YouTube, Blogger, Twitter… in my online marketing.
I have told you about the ADDTHIS Button hundreds of times before
but I just have to mention it again because it has brought
me hundreds, if not thousands of backlinks over the last year.

AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Place this free button on your site and let your
readers bookmark your site/content for you. Simple,
yet very effective way of building backlinks and traffic.
I also have started using the Digg and ReTweet button
on important unique content on my sites.

I have also started making videos for Youtube and this
is bringing in a lot of traffic. These videos are now
on many different sites all over the web.

6. Search Engine Marketing

No matter what new programs and sites become popular,
one of the most effective ways to market on the web is
to use the search engines. Creating highly optimized
pages with unique high-quality content is still the
best way to market online.

I am a bit old-fashion when it comes SEM, I like to place
my keyword in the Title, in the Meta Tags including the
description and keyword tags. I also place the keyword in
the first and last paragraphs on the page, in the alt images
tags and also at the very bottom of the page.

I use my keyword and variations of it throughout the page,
I don’t worry about keyword density and my pages are written
to be read by the reader/surfer and not the search engines.
This is: I write content for my site’s visitors.

Perhaps unwisely, I do target most of my SEM marketing
towards Google. I optimize for Google and this year Google
has given webmasters countless tools and advice. One of the
best sources has been all the video interviews WebProNews
has done with Matt Cutts… if you really want to know more
about ranking high in Google, I would suggest you check out
all these videos at the WebProNews site. Or go directly to
the Google’s Webmaster Tools – very helpful material when
you’re just starting out or been at this stuff for 10 years!

SeoQuake ToolBar

To help me in my SEO battles I like to use the free SEOQuake
toolbar which I use on my Firefox browser. This toolbar quickly
gives me all the relevant SEO info on a site such as PageRank,
pages in Google Index, Alexa Rank, Age of site, Owner… but
most importantly it gives me the SEMRush Rank and the price
of the keyword monthly traffic going to a site. (What you would
have to pay if you were buying this traffic from the search
engines.) Basically, this tells me if a site is ranking high
for keywords and making money. If your monthly search engine
traffic is worth in the millions – that site is a potential
partner and/or competitor.

7. Track Everything That Moves

From a marketing perspective, all of the above tactics are
rather pointless if they don’t convert into sales. Therefore,
you should track all aspects of your online marketing, especially
what content and keywords that convert into a sale. I find
myself relying more and more on Google Analytics for my tracking.
This free program from Google is invaluable for tracking and for
improving your conversions. It simply tells you what is working
and what is not on your site. It is also a great tool for testing
new content and pages. Place Google Analytics on your site if you’re
not using it.

I also like using the tracking codes which come with the different
affiliate programs I use, such as those with Commission Junction
– it basically tells me what banners and links are producing
the sales. Again, knowledge means more sales.

And one final disclaimer since 2009 has been the year of FTC
and their New Guidelines on how marketers can market online.

8. Staying Focused Is The Hardest Part Of Internet Marketing

You have to keep at it! One lesson I have learned from over
10 years of marketing online is that you have to stay focused
and persistent in your marketing. It took me 3 years before I
started earning any serious revenue, but then again, I started
from scratch learning HTML myself and building all my sites on
my own. I also created all my own graphics until I could afford
to source them out.

You have to keep working at this for months, even years before
you can see results. Sure, you will be bombarded by countless
programs and gurus who say you can do this stuff overnight or
within a matter of days. Of course, there are examples of people
who have created popular websites, products, videos… and who have
become successful in a matter of days or months.

BUT…

For the most part, this is not true. At least not for me, it has taken
me years to build my sites and keyword rankings. And it will probably
take you years to build your own sites and rankings, unless you’re an
exception to this rule. However, hard work and persistence usually pay
off in the end, if you can afford the time and effort to build a successful
online business, you will succeed. I just hope some of my marketing tactics and
techniques will prove to be of some help to you in your quest. Just go for it!

Happy Holidays,
Titus

Gearing Up For Black Friday & Cyber Monday – Some Marketing Strategies

Gearing Up For Black Friday & Cyber Monday – Some Marketing Strategies

BWMagic’s Internet Marketing News!

No doubt if you have a website where you’re selling products
or you’re into affiliate marketing like me, next week and the
days following it will be very important to your bottom line.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are very busy shopping days in
the real world and online.

Each year, for the last 4 or 5 years, I have seen my online sales
jump on those days… actually sales have already picked up for my
sites since I mainly sell high ticket custom electronic goods
which have to be configured to the buyer’s requirements so buyers
like to order early to make sure they get them by Christmas.

In this Newsletter, I thought I would give you a run-down of some
of the things (marketing tactics) I am using to bring in more
sales. Keep in mind, I am doing affiliate marketing (selling other
people’s stuff – I make no direct sales from my sites – all I do
is refer potential buyers to my affiliate partners via my
affiliate links) and it is the kind of marketing and lifestyle
that I prefer.

Now, you too, should be gearing up for the big selling days
next week and beyond.

Here are some things or marketing tactics I do every year.

1. I review all my affiliate links and web pages to make
sure my content and links are up to date. Mainly because I
don’t want to lose any commissions but also because Google
is taking a hard line with it comes to broken links that break
down the quality of your content and their index. Make sure
you check all your links to see if they are good. If you have
a small site – a free service like LinkTiger.com will help
you find the broken links.

2. Key up or ramp up your own marketing… put out extra articles,
do press releases, run sales if you’re selling your own product,
release videos to coincide with the big shopping weekend. I am
planning on doing all of those things.

3. Increase your advertising budget. Buy special advertising
such as links on popular sites, order special ezine mailings
to targeted groups. Also, I always increase my PPC (Pay Per Click)
advertising at this time of year. People are shopping and your
conversion rates will be much higher – at least that is what
I find.

4. Coupons, Coupons, Coupons – all the major companies have
special discounts, sales and coupons for the holidays… make
sure you’re featuring them on your site or sites. Buyers will
expect big discounts on those days and if your site doesn’t
carry or offer them your buyers will go elsewhere. Collect all
the best deals and discounts and make special mailings to all
your lists. Many marketers also make a special page on their
site featuring all the major Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.
Everyone loves getting a bargain.

5. Use or sell major brand names with your online marketing,
I have constantly found promoting big brand name companies like
Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sony… always do better because buyers
respect and trust those companies and their products. Also
I have found using big brand name retailers like Amazon.com
bring in many more sales – again, buyers respect and trust
Amazon and your sales will reflect this fact.

Those five marketing tactics have worked for me and here are some of
my most effective marketing strategies which are a little more
complex and detailed.

1. Leveraging your keyword rankings. Around this time each year
I do a close check of all my top rankings in Google. I choose
the ones that will return the most revenue. I place most of
my ramped up marketing efforts on these keywords – making
sure I have found and listed all the best deals and discounts.
Also the price of the affiliate products and my commission rates
play a big part in which keywords I increase my marketing on.
For example, high ticket items like gaming laptops give very
good returns, whereas small items such as laptop cleaning kits
do not. It’s only common sense as to which one I will be
promoting heavily at this time of year.

2. Sell what people are buying. You really have to do some
market research and find the hot items everyone is buying.
This doesn’t really have to be heavy-duty research, just using
something like Google Trends will give you a pretty good
idea. So too is checking out lists of popular items such
as those presented on major sites like CNN, Time… I am
sure we all have read these kinds of lists – such as “Top 10
High-tech Holiday Gifts” just use them to find the
hot items this year.

3. Comparison Shopping The Internet was invented so that
people could do comparison shopping! Well, not really, but
using comparison shopping prices and charts will increase
your sales. Keeping track and getting all the best deals
and discounts can be tedious and time-consuming. Many online
marketers use services such as those presented by comparison
shopping services provided by sites like this one:

www.datafeedfile.com

It sends out data-feeds and the latest deals and offers
are presented on your site. This is great if you’re not
really into affiliate marketing but want to monetize
your site or content. Only catch this site takes every
fourth click in return for using its services. Still
a good arrangement especially if you don’t have the time
or resources to pull all this pricing data on your own.

4. Buyer’s Mindset You probably already know this one
but you should make it your objective to find the buyer
at the exact time someone has their mind made up and are
ready to buy. That one of the main reasons Black Friday
and Cyber Monday are such great shopping days. Everybody
and their grandmother has been convinced by all the
major retailers those days is the time to start buying
your holiday gifts and everyone does. Along those same
lines, PPC and keyword marketers take advantage of this
right buying mindset by targeting certain keywords that
show buyers are ready to buy. For example, something
as obvious as someone searching for the price or lowest
price for a product means they are more ready to buy
then someone just searching for a general product.

5. The Gifts Angle This is a marketing strategy I have
been using for years, along with countless other marketers.
Targeting the gift-buying market is a very effective
way of selling your products. Someone looking for
wedding gifts, Christmas gifts, birthday gifts,
graduation gifts and the one I like targeting
corporate business gifts. All those customers are
ready to buy these gifts when they come into your
store or your online site. They are ready to buy…

Corporate Business Gifts

As an added strategy, I like to target buyers who are
buying gifts not just for one person but for a whole
lot of people. They won’t just buy one item, but
100 or even 1000. Don’t laugh, it happens, especially
if you’re targeting companies or the company boss
who are buying gifts for their employees or clients.
Also, promotional gifts falls into this same strategy,
some people do buy gifts in bulk! Target them.

But it doesn’t have to be anything complex, I have found
just promoting the Amazon Gift List Organizer brings
in a lot of sales because people do use that to buy
all their holiday gifts at once. Again, it’s finding
the buyer at the right time when they’re ready to buy.
Simple marketing strategy but it works.

I hope I haven’t wasted your time and that I have
given you at least some ideas to increase your sales
this coming Black Friday & Cyber Monday. Go get ’em!
