Rock introduces the Xtreme 770 which carries the new Intel's
Santa Rosa mobile processor. If this wasn't important enough it
also has DX10 Graphics which many serious gamers were waiting
for in their ultimate dream machine.
What's the big deal with DirectX 10?
It all has to do with better performing Graphics - gaming is
all about graphics. With DirectX 9 you are limited to showing
about 500 objects in one frame, now with DirectX 10 that
restriction has been removed. Resulting in more realistic
shading and details, plus smoother animation.
Also remember Vista, Microsoft's latest version of Windows,
does have DirectX 10.
The Xtreme 770 gives you both the Santa Rosa platform and
DirectX 10 Graphics. Combine that with New Nvidia GeForce
8700M GT 512MB powered with up to Intel® Core 2 Duo T7700
processor (2 x 2.4GHz), up to 4GB DDR2 800MHz memory.
Place all this on a 160GB 7200rpm SATA hard drive and
you have one powerful gaming laptop.
