o BlackBerries, Coupons and Cyber Mondays

More and more people are shopping online.
More than ever.

Many factors are pushing consumers online:
high gas prices, free shipping, the convenience
and the ever growing importance and presence
of the Internet in our daily routines.

Many online marketers and webmasters are gearing
up for Cyber Monday - the day that many holiday
shoppers start their online buying frenzy.

The real world has Black Friday - the virtual world
has Cyber Monday...

Commericialization of the Web can be a bad or
good thing depending on your own viewpoint but
there's no denying the fact that many shoppers would
prefer to shop online. With fast and free shipping,
online stores and products also become more desirable
for the cyber shopper.

Add to this, the great deals that can now only be
found online, and you have a significant amount of
coin changing hands in cyber space. If you're an
online marketer - you have to find ways to place
your site or sites into all this shopping activity.

One simple way is to offer good quality information
on a product or service. Make it easier for the online
shopper to find what they're looking for or explain exactly
what they're buying and why. Compiling information,
reviews, or related (themed) products into one
convenient site or group of webpages can be very
profitable for the online eMarketer.

To explain further what this can look like, below are
three examples that I have tried. These are simple guides,
webpages, that relate to one common theme that helps
the online shopper in some way.

All these pages are popular, all these pages earn
me money. It's a very easy way to monetize your
site or sites. If you're trying to earn an income
for your site or blog, perhaps a look at these
pages would be helpful to you. So many marketers
give theories and formulas but so few good real
examples. Most are too wise to actually show/give
examples of what earns them money on their
sites. But what the heck, it's the season of
giving...

Here are these examples:

o Corporate Business Gifts

Simple guide to some corporate business gifts
for the employee or boss. Everyone has to consider
this situation at one time or other, buying a corporate
gift for the boss or employee.

These pages just list some examples and products
to consider. Mostly high tech gadgets dealing with
businessware but also the usual gift fare: wine,
jewelry, personalized pens and business card sets,
high end laptops...

And as cyber Monday comes around -- these pages heat up...

o Dell Coupons

Another simple page offering Dell Coupons and
discounts. Some people hate Dell, other people
love Dell and wouldn't dream of buying anything else
but a Dell. This is a page for the Dell lovers!

Most of Dell's loyal customers wouldn't dream of
buying a Dell product without first using a
Dell coupon or two. This page on my site list
different Dell coupons and is updated daily.

This is an extremely hard page to keep on Google's
first page results. The keyword phrases 'Dell Coupon
and Dell Coupons' are very competitive. Over 125,000
searches a month. Maybe a lot more this month and
next as we head into the holiday season.

Doubt if I can keep my site up there for very long,
but it's a very good keyword phrase to have.

And if you're one of those DEll Lovers you can
check out my Dell Coupon page. It comes in handy
if you're planning on buying a Dell Laptop or computer.
Dell coupons means signicant savings if you're buying
from Dell.

o Online Laptop Guide

Laptops are so popular, everyone wants one!

This is a simple online notebook guide on
my site that explains all the things you need
to know about laptops. It started as a simple guide
but it is becoming much more detailed as notebook
technology keeps improving and changing. Of course,
I try to keep up with all this new technology, but
I have developed a keen interest in all things laptop
- and that helps a lot. It doesn't seem like work
when you're having fun!

Besides, I have found after reading thousands and
thousands of laptop reviews and technological articles
on laptops. You do pick up a lot of information. Plus
personally writing and building a two - three hundred
page guide on the different aspects of the laptop sort
of keeps you in the picture.

This has been the most challenging and most profitable
part of my whole website. Many people have bookmarked
this quide and come back to it time and time again.
For me - if someone bookmarks your site - it's the
ultimate sign of a successful site. Sales are necessary
but secondary. If you help people first, the sales
will come later. That's a sort of unwritten
rule that governs the whole Interent...

o Google Goodies Galore!

Most people I know love Google! I can't say
the same for any other online entity. Try saying
Microsoft and you will get some sour looking faces
staring back at you!

Why does Google command so much respect (and dare we say
love) by the majority of Internet users?

I believe it has to do with a couple of factors, if
I may be so bold and put my 2 cents in the pot. With
your permission that is!

One, Knowledge Givers receive our respect, attention
and gratitude. Teachers, Doctors, Grandparents, etc. and
the like, all command the most respect in our lives.

Google, more than any of the other search engines gives
the best quality search results. Cumulative effect of
all those years of searching in Google has payed off in
dividends of respect. Because you're worth 80+ billion
doesn't even enter into this picture. Honest!

Google has earned our respect. And people love
Google for it!

Of course, there's a much more simplier reason why
people love Google. It may just be all of those free services
that Google dishes out. Good quality services that has built
up a reservoir of respect for Google and the Google product.

I personally use many of these services each day,
Google Search, Google Alerts, Blogger, Google Adsense,
Google Images... all great, all free... the list goes on.

Here's a somewhat frightening list of all the Goodies
Google has or is offering:

Have a great week and Happy Cyber Monday!
