Just finished setting up Google Sitemaps on my
main site. It went rather smoothly and rather quick.
13 hours after I submitted my xml sitemap file to Google
Sitemaps - my site was crawled.

That's not bad, anytime you can get your site indexed
within 24 hours has to be good! If you haven't put
your site into Google Sitemaps - I suggest you do it
as soon as possible. If you need help, I have just
written an article on how to use Google Sitemaps.

There are many different ways to generate your xml
powered sitemap file - this article looks at three or
four and shows you exactly how you can go about
putting your site into Google Sitemaps.

Google Alert

Without a doubt, the one other free Google service that I
can't live without is Google Alert. This free service
(up to 3 topics) will send you an email alert whenever
Google encounters your stated topics - such as your
name, name of an article, website url... this is great
free tracking service.

If you haven't used it - you're missing out on one of Google
best features and they're adding up fast!

I use it mainly to keep track of my articles - to see which
sites are picking them up and displaying them. I also use
it to see what other people are saying about me! It will
notify me if my name comes up on the web anywhere and I sent
a curt response if the review is positive. Something else,
if it's negative!!

So check out Google Alert

Google Adsense and Google Adwords

If you're into marketing these two will also hold
special meaning for you. I have placed a file

dealing with these Google money earners.

Google Earth

Google has recently created Google Earth - a mapping service.
I haven't used this one - but its worth checking out.
Always said Google was aspiring to higher things. Way they're
going, Divinity can't be far behind!
