Hello,
And a warm welcome to all new subscribers!
I will be short on the small talk this week and get
right down to business. Don't know how well informed
you are on the blogging situation so I going to
throw these resources at you. If you know about
them already, just skim down thru and you might
find something you can use.
o Blogging News&Resources
- Trackback
This is a great way of building links and tracks to your
blog. It's a linking system that's a little complicated, but
it's a breeze to set-up if your blogging system you're using
don't already have it. Just use the free service from
Haloscan.com --- they even have an automatic system that will
set-up your Trackback feature on your Blogger or Blogspot site
for FREE.
It will only take a few minutes and the rewards are worth it.
You will get full details and instruction on Trackback.
Just click this link: Haloscan.com
- Blog Software
Here's a great site to compare and check out the different
blogging software you can use. So far I have been using Blogger.com
and Bloglines for my blogs. But I am sure I will eventually outgrow
these one day! They are ok for now because I do place my blog on my
own website. I just use a third party like blogger.com to publish
it.
Anyway, this is the most comprehensive blogging software site
I have seen. Check it out here: Blogging Software
- Tinu
I found Tinu AbayomiPaul from the Mark Hendricks
'12 days of xmas' package. The more I read her 'free traffic tips'
material - the more excited I become. Like finding a diamond
in your cereal. Almost too good to be true. Her information
is 'spot on' and the most helpful material you will
ever find this side of Google!
Her blog - Freetraffictip.com is a Great Resource you
should have in your corner. Check out her blog and subscribe
to her newsletter. You won't regret it!

- Allen Says - Make money from Blogging
I have always been an admirer of Allen Says and he
has a blog where you can make a few pennies by just
linking to his blog.
Allen created one of first and one of the most powerful
internet marketing communities. Internet Marketing Warriors.
His blog is called 'instantgurublog' and you can Check
it out here:
Please be warned this is an affiliate link. It's one
of first affiliate applications of RSS I have seen.
At least one that has some quality to it!!!
The commercializing of RSS and Blogs, in my opinion,
has barely gotten off the ground yet. Good or Bad.
Let you decide for yourself.
o Feature Article - Moving Closer To The Spider!
(How Strategic RSS Positioning Can Give Your Site The Edge)
Lately, RSS is becoming more and more important. In this
article, I show you different ways how you can position your site
to get the benefits from the coming RSS evolution. Both MSN & Yahoo
now allow you to directly place RSS feeds from search results
onto your website. There are many more applications for RSS that
are discussed in this article. It's a bit long so I have placed
it here on my site:Moving Closer To The Spider!
Or a shorter earlier version of this article is posted below
in this blog.
o What's the Best Web Host for You?
You hear this question often from subscribers, in forums and
chat rooms. What web hosting should I use or what web host
is the best?
Many beginners make the mistake of searching out the cheapest
web host they can find and go with it. Some even brag -- I
got my hosting for only $10 a year or $3.99 a month.
Not realizing that Cheap is not Always the Best!
Be wary of cheap hosting -- if they can offer it to you for
so cheap a price -- ask yourself some serious questions before
you jump at any cheap deal: will the support be there when
I need it? how many other sites are on your shared server?
how long will it take to download a page from this host.
Recent Nielsen NetRatings puts the average time a person
spends on a page at 45 seconds. Does it take over a minute or
two to just access your site???
Finding a Good Web Host can be a daunting Task!
But the solution is not in just finding the best web host -- it's
finding the best web host for YOU.
That is; you have the find the best host that's appropriate for
your needs at this time or stage in your marketing adventure.
If you're just starting out it's best to go with a web host
that will give your step-by-step guidance from the get-go!
You will need a lot of help getting started and figuring out
all the details and set-up questions.
If you're an experienced marketer and this is your fifth or
sixth web host. Your requirement would be entirely different from
the novice beginner. Actually, if you're this far along in your
marketing career - chances are you won't even be asking this
question in the first place!
Most you would do is check with your close network friends and
get information on what they're using. Their opinions on 'support
and download times, etc.' would guide to the right one.
However, finding a good web host is often a problem at any
stage of your marketing career.
So how do I find a good web host?
My answer is always, if you're just starting out, a beginner at
this game --- then go with Ken Evoy's SiteBuildIt. And I usually
direct them to this page on my site for further reasons why!
You're not just building a web site ; you're building a web site
business.
Build a Web Site Business!
For more experienced marketers, I get you should try 'all-in-one'
hosting packages. This is the best way to go. These will also
give you PRODUCTS you can sell with your new site. They also
give you the marketing tools you will need to market these
products or your own.
Some of the best of these I have listed on my site.
PushButtonPublishing/Bryan Winters
WebsiteWizard/Simon Grabowski
Third Sphere Hosting/Miguel Alvarez
Host4Profit/Allen Says
Mainly go with a web host that has a 'name' up front. Someone,
you know will be there if anything goes wrong. These people
have built up good reputations over the years and you know you
can trust them. Their name is on the line.
Recently, I have been recommending BlogID from DomainDirect
for those who want to build mainly a blogging site. This
could also apply to those just starting out. Building a
blog site is the easiest and simplest way to go.
So here's that list again. Choose Wisely!
Recommended Web Hosting Solutions for your consideration:

PB Publishing/Bryan Winters

A good web host is like a good friend. Always there for you!

All for now and Have a Great Week!

Titus
